Ranjana Hall to be replaced by Shopping Mall

Ranjana Hall being demolished.
One of the oldest cinema hall of Nepal that lived in the era of one of the most influential actors of Nepalese film industry is now being demolished for the construction of Grand Shopping Mall. The growing construction of shopping complex in Kathmandu has now become a trend more than a necessity.

Location plays a vital role for the business purpose and this shopping complex in the heart of New Road will have a significant impact and will provide ease and comfort for the customer to shop around. No matter where the shopping complex have been built New Road has always been a first priority for most of the customer for real shopping, window shopping or just to hang around.

According to the information, if it is to be believed, this complex will be of 25 storey and will be connected with the near by constructing building which you can see in the picture. Within and around the New Road area there are various shopping complex viz. Bishal Bazar, Pashupati Plaza, R.B. Complex, People's Plaza, Ratna Plaza, Kathmandu Mall, World Trade Center and many retail shopping centers. The rise of shopping centers continue to grow but the current market is fascinated by the those malls that are equipped with cinema halls such as City Center at Kamalpokhari and currently being built STAR Mall (I think its the correct name) located at Putalisadak near Nepal Investment Bank with no windows in the front part. Yes! that's right, no window in the front part. I"ll upload those pictures in my next visit.
